All About Halos

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will halos replace headlights?
A: Halos do not replace headlight bulbs, and they are simply an aftermarket accessory. You will still need to use your factory bulbs or an aftermarket headlight bulb upgrade. We offer a variety of options for bulbs!

Q: What colors are street-legal?
A: We always recommend checking your local laws before any vehicle modifications, but white and amber are legal for on-road use in all 50 states. Red and blue are usually the two non-legal colors that we suggest wiring to a remote or switch to easily flip back to white for driving. All other colors depend upon your local and state regulations.

Q: Will installing an halo kit void my vehicle’s warranty?
A: You should check with your dealership to be sure, but most will not void the warranty since the halos have a separate wiring harness that doesn’t affect the electrical system on the vehicle.

Q: What are the technical specs of ORACLE Lighting Halos?
A:  ORACLE SMD or "Surface Mount Diode" Halos utilize an advanced type of LED chip that can produce brilliant light output while only consuming a small amount of power. The SMD chips are installed onto a CAD designed 6-layer PCB (Printed Circuit Board) which is very sturdy and will not break if pressured. The PCB can easily be mounted to a headlight housing using the pre-installed 3M adhesive tape backing.

Q: Who can install an ORACLE Halo Kit?
A: Any person having some technical experience a basic understanding of electrical circuits can install and ORACLE Halo Kit. We also offer professional installation and pre-installed headlights HERE.
